Changing course

Hello guys,

I've applied to Manchester for petroleum Engineering and I was wondering if it's possible to change my course to Chemical engineering.

Also, if let's say I contact the admission admin and they decline, would that decrease my chances in getting an offer for petroleum engineering?

Ring them up and ask - they're unlikely to say no.

Or you can ring them up and ask them to consider you for alternate courses if you're not successful for Petroleum Eng (eg if they can't take your for PetEng then they'll automatically pass your application on to ChemEng for consideration instead of just rejecting you).

If you ring the central admissions team then they wont be in a position to hold your request against you (they don't make the offers they just get stuff done).
