Is it rude to ask somebody how much money they have inherited?

Lets say a relative left someone a bit of money. It would be rude if another relative asked how much money it was, right? Its like asking them how much money they have. It's inappropriate at the least.
It is, the first thing that comes into mind with inheriting money is someone passing away in the first place so it's very scurrilous to ask how much someone has inherited.
I expect according to Debretts one would consider it bad form.
tbh any discussion of money is vulgar and sad.

Yeah, pretty rude, someone has just died and I'm sure they're more focused on that than the money
Glad to see you all agree :yy:
