Hi guys, doing an investigation into number of coils and magnet strength. But struggling to understand the science. Can someone explain with science, why increasing the number of coils increases number of paperclips picked up and in turn a reflection on the magnet strength.

Adding another turn to the coil is like adding another adjacent magnet, but the magnetic field of each coil is combined to make the total magnetic field of the electromagnet. So adding more turns is like adding more smaller magnets, making the sum of the magnetic fields greater.
