So glad there is a bank holiday on the Monday after.

Not lie, did a fist bump when I realised I didn't need to book a holiday for the Monday.

It will be a late one and probably will stay up rather than go to bed.

Yeah, same. Our sky is broken so we're weighing up weather to somewhere like walkabout (full of casuals) or to the casino (not a great atmosphere).

Either way, we're going to make a good night of it.
Anyway of buying the PPV on an online service in order to watch it in HD online?
Where can I watch it online for free

I dont have sky TV. I only have Virgin TV :frown:

Guys, how can I watch the fight?

Can't you order Box Office on Virgin? (I have no idea)

Otherwise, best options are sports bar / casino / mates house. I guess you could order a Sky subscription and then cancel it straight away too.

There's this too...

I'm sure if you PM the right people on the day, they'll set you up with a link.

The fight is on a Sunday morning, not Monday morning. Don't stay up for the wrong night !

Ha I know. Was happy about the Bank Holiday as staying up Sunday morning until, potentially, 6am would have knackered my sleep pattern (not that it's great anyway tbf) for Monday..

Yh the Bank Holiday came at a perfect timing to catch up with sleep. Can't wait for the fight !

Yeah me neither, Sky have got a weekly dosage of shows for build up to keep the build up going.
Worth a watch!

Oscar definitely gives the best breakdown. They almost have me convinced about Manny's footwork. If he can dart in and catch Floyd flat-footed with that straight left, especially early in the fight when Floyd historically starts slowly and quite flat-footed (especially to southpaws), maybe he could get a flash knockdown. It's definitely going to go the distance and I think Manny's only shot of winning on points is an early KD.
Good video, although Hopkins pissed me off, too much talking.

As for videos, I'm really enjoying Wilson Kayden on youtube, his build up series has been great so far, nicely spread out to build the hype.

I think the issue with this is although the straight left is an effective punch and possibly a Floyd weakness, how does he get it into play? Its brought up by De La Hoya but he's talking about a jab, and he had a great jab and a 73inch jab an inch, longer than Mayweather's. For Pac its going to be the left, so coming from further, he's got a 67inch jab, how far is this coming from?

The most obvious one is coming from behind the jab, but Manny has no jab, other than that hopping power jab. His jab is just distraction or temptation, so Floyd has little to worry about. Then remember Manny's jab is 5inches shorter than Floyd's, so to use the pawing/blinding jab its even harder. Against Floyd, a master of range control in addition.

Second would be as a counter, I think this is the most unlikey option. Let the jab fly over the shoulder and then counters with the straight left. That is the most effective obviously. However its a counter, its takes two to tango. Manny needs to lure Floyd, a clever defensive counter puncher, into throwing and missing a jab, probably from the high guard (a punch which has almost no tell) in such a reckless fashion the counter is on. Not only does that open up for the straight left it opens up for the right hook, so I'd think Floyd will be well aware, the reaching jab, is one of the risker punches if he misses. This seems unlikely that, at range as it would be, Floyd will feel he needs to do that considering if Floyd is reaching with the jab Manny is offering no threat, more likely he'll use the paw to open up for the right.

The best route into Floyd from the straight left is after the right hook, as suggested by Mosley. I think he'll miss that more often than not as Mosley said. When Manny is missing he gets reckless. When Manny throws his right hand he almost always drops his left hand. I think this route in will be prime for Floyd to counter tbh.
I don't actually mind paying to watch it if it's online, as I have a Virgin box but don't think Sky Box Office is on it.

Floyd's reach is definitely what's scaring me most. I have a horrible vision where every time Manny tries coming in, Floyd just smashes him with his right, and that being the general story of the fight.

I don't think Manny will be able to counter Floyd with any real consistency or effectiveness, no one ever does (even JMM struggled in that regard and he's one of the best counter-punchers out there). Manny will have to make the first move, and it's all about getting in range and beating Floyd to the punch (or make him miss) when you get in range. A good stiff jab would back Floyd up as Oscar showed in the few rounds he had success against Floyd, but Manny doesn't have Oscar's jab. His best option is probably after throwing the right-hook, but as you said, that leaves Manny open. Maybe he could just feint the right hand to close the distance, that'd leave Manny more aware to Floyd's counters too.

I think the key for Manny is that big straight left as early as possible in the fight. Floyd takes a while to get his timing right, arguably more so against southpaws. Even against an under-matched Robert Guerrero, it took Floyd like three rounds to get his timing right against a boxer way below his class. If Manny doesn't win four of the first five rounds, I think it's all over.

What idiot at Virgin thought that'd be a good idea, surely they could have incorporate Box Office into the deal. Have you check the On Demand option in the menu?
I haven't no, I will at some point.

If there isn't an online option they're missing a trick. Same goes for Premier League football. How much is a Sky box per month with all the sports channels added on?
I'm pretty sure the fight isn't available online for Sky customers. Its not available on the Sky Go service.

I think its available for Virgin Customers, but seems it £20 for an SD broadcast which is a joke.
