coldsores

hey does anyone have any ideas to get rid of them, ive been getting them continuously literally for like over a week. can you take anything apart from putting the cream on. and im getting pretty pissed off with it.

Zovirax usually works for me
stupid question but what the hell is a coldsore, i dont think ive ever had one

I guess you mean Herpes labialis.

Creams containing Accilovir (Zovirax) will help. As will: no exposure to the sun, wind and if possible the cold. No kissing of people with active Herpes either.

You can take a course of Acciclovir tablets if it is very persistant, but that is a last resort. Works very well. Better than the cream.

There's that new Compeed stuff that's advertised on the TV. Might be worth a try.
