work out the difference in diameter/radius in cm

every cm in length you lose 0.02 mm

can you see what to do?

I've been given the answer of 11 cm, but if I do:
24.97 cm - 24.75 cm = 0.22 cm
0.22 cm = 2.2 mm
Therefore 2.2 / 0.02 = 110 cm

wrong

it said 0.02 mm taper per cm

so .22/0.02

I don't quite understand what "tapers by 0.02 mm per cm" means.

tapers means it goes in (it narrows)

every cm in length the radius goes 0.02 mm smaller

+++EDIT+++

I think I figured out where I went wrong.

If I were to convert 0.02 mm per cm to the same cm units:

0.02 x 10 / 10 = 0.2 cm per 10 cm

Therefore, 0.22 / 0.2 = 1.1 x 10 = 11 cm
