Cardiff Met - Victoria Halls?

Hi,

I'm hopefully going to Cardiff Met this September (2015) to do BA Graphic Design and am looking at accommodation!

I've found Victoria Halls which seem really nice for only a bit more than the Cardiff Met Plas Gwyn Halls. But I was wondering if any one had any reviews of the Victoria Halls?

Are they easy to get to from Cardiff Met, and how far is it roughly (walking)?

I'd be so grateful for any other general good points/bad points too! :-)

I found Victoria Halls massively better quality than Plas Gwyn. The deluxe rooms are worth the extra few pound a week. It's between 20 and 35 minute walk from Llandaff depending on how fast you walk. It's a really nice walk up the taff trail along the river, super pretty! Location is great, I loved being walking distance from town and Uni, it's a pretty safe place. There's a Tesco Express and Premier just up the road, and on the corner (Hogwurst), is a cool little place which sales the BEST milkshakes.
