Hello, I was just wondering how many people here are Canadian applicants. If you don't mind me asking, when did you apply? Did you apply for the Senior Status or the 3 year LLB?
I applied on January 15th, Senior Status for all my choices.
Finishing my Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto in April. I did my LNAT on the 16th of December and submitted my application on the following day. I applied for Senior status at Exeter and Leicester, and the 3 year at Bristol, Nottingham and Manchester.
So far I've gotten offers from Leicester and Bristol. The admissions tutor from Nottingham has been in contact with me though.
I submitted my application just before the UCAS deadline. I applied for Senoir Status for all of my choices as well, and so far I've gotten offers from Sussex and Leicester, just waiting to hear back from the other unis

Thanks for the reply. Did Leicester contact you in any way before your offer (ask for transcripts, etc)?

I went to one of their visits in Toronto last year so I knew I needed to send it in. I did contact them to see exactly what they wanted though. If they need something they will send you an email though.

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad I'm not the only Canadian as well!
If you don't mind me asking, which other schools did you apply to? Did Leicester ask for your transcripts or any other info before they made their offer? Did you do the LNAT? I didn't because I only applied to Senior Status, but was wondering if it had been beneficial to do them anyways. I know its only been 3 weeks since I've applied, but I can't help being nervous that I haven't even heard back from Leicester

Oh really, okay. Do you think it would be beneficial to email the admissions office and offer to either mail or email them my official transcripts? Or just wait for them to ask?
Birmingham already email and asked for my transcripts a week after I submitted my application.

I've also applied to Kent, Southampton, and Leeds.
I sent off my transcripts (university and high school) along with my UCAS application, so they never needed to ask.. although I'll have to re-send the transcript from my current university when I get my final marks at the end of the year.
I didn't write the LNAT because none of the schools that I applied for required it. I'm pretty sure that if they don't ask for it, it doesn't make a difference when they consider your application.
What other schools did you apply to? Is Leicester your top choice? I'm having the worst time deciding which school is my most preferred

It never hurts to send admissions an email. I know some of the schools I applied to wanted an official transcript while some were fine with an academic history.
Also in regards to your concerns about Leicester, unless your marks are really bad you should get in. All you need to have is a 2.7 gpa and a decent personal statement/reference. They said you can also get into the 3 year with a 2.2 and transfer into the 3 year if you do well.

I also entered my high school and university grades on the UCAS application, I was just wondering if anyone had to send the official ones. Are you done your degree or just finish off atm? Okay phew about the LNAT!
I applied to Leicester, SOAS, Southampton, Glasgow Caledonian, and Birmingham (Unsuccessful)
I am conflicted too. I would LOVE to go to SOAS (I am really interested in African and Middle Eastern law/studies, and the diverse faculty is definitely a bonus), but London is VERY expensive and I am not sure how reputable and well known SOAS is if I come back to Canada. Leicester I hear offers the easiest transition for Canadian students, with one of the profs constantly in contact with the NCA. Plus I hear Leicester in general is a really good school, and everyone is very warm and welcoming. (Family friend was a student there a couple years back).
Are you planning on coming back to Canada or staying in the UK?

Okay I'll definitely email and ask if they want my official transcripts. Thanks! My school did GPA a bit differently but I think my CGPA is around a 3 on the 4 scale, so I should be fine. I was just getting nervous because I didn't get in Birmingham (but when I applied I knew I had a very low chance of getting in). I hate the waiting game

I sent off photocopies of the official transcripts, but I had some help with my UCAS application and that's what I was recommended to do.
I'm just in my last semester of my undergrad. I can't wait to be done.. I feel like this is the longest semester of my life. What about you, just finishing up?
Yeah, London is really expensive. I love visiting, but I don't know if I could see myself living there. The contact with the NCA is the main reason I choice to apply to Leicester, but I'm still so conflicted about where to actually go! Although I still have to wait to hear back from the 3 other unis...

Okay now I am definitely sending in my official transcripts. I finished last April, but I know how you feel. The last semester is always the hardest. You can do it, you're almost there! I know what you mean, once I get my offers (hopefully I get offers lol), I will be making a list of pro's and con's for sure

I'm also finishing my Honours Bachelors at UofT in April!! So far I've heard back from City University of London; still waiting on QMUL, KCL, Nottingham and Durham.
QMUL messaged to ask for my transcripts and KCL messaged to verify my LNAT ID number. The wait to hear back is overwhelming!

Good luck with those. I wanted to apply to schools in London it was just way too damn expensive. I'm still waiting on Notts as well, although I'm pretty sure Bristol will be my firm.
If you don't mind me asking what majors are you taking?

Thank you, and good luck to you as well! I'm double majoring in Ethics, Society & Law and Criminology at the St.George Campus. How about you?
Hi, I applied for the 3 year LLB programs at Exeter, Cardiff, Cambridge, Bristol and Nottingham. I was rejected from Cambridge, accepted at Bristol (I think that'll be my firm), Cardiff and Exeter. Still waiting to hear back from Nottingham.

Hope you hear back soon!
Are applying right out of highschool, or did you just opt for the three year LLB over the two year?
