transferring courses

Hi

Am looking to apply for Cambridge next academic year for maths. However I'm more interested in economics and finance than maths long term but don't like the look of the history unit in the first year of the econ course.

So does anyone know if its possible to transfer after a year of maths to do two years of economics?

Thanks!

Not sure about Economics but you can certainly transfer to Management Studies:

Just checked: yes, you probably can:

"The Tripos system in Cambridge allows students to combine Economics with another subject, but only by switching Tripos. For instance, it is possible to switch from Part IA Mathematics to Part IIA Economics;"

It's not specific about your scenario of going from Maths IB to Economics IIB - maybe check with the Economics dept. Or do 4 years (Economics IIA & IIB)?
