Applying for art via route B only

hi, this year im applying to edinburgh college of art for the first year studies course, its route b and is the only thing im applying for (apart from various art foundation not through ucas).

i've suddenly been told that I have to get my application sent off now beacuse i'm not applying for anything through route A, but i was given the impression by my careers advisor earlier in the year that i would only have to send it off in jan/feb.

is there anybody else who is applying only through route B?? or anyone at all who knows anything about this as i cant seem to find anything. :frown:
