Designing a psychology experiment

Hi,

Having some difficulty in the design of my experiment any help/tips would be great!

Im looking at how self awareness affects anxiety levels.

This is to be done through taking a measure of trait/state anxiety then manipulating self awareness over 3 levels:
1- increasing self awareness (with the use of a mirror)
2- decreasing self awareness (by getting the participant to focus on external stimuli)
3- no manipulation od self awareness.

Then taking another measure of trait/state anxiety.

However....this is apparently not complex enough and I need to introduce another variable this is where my confidence wavers.

I thought of also looking at test anxiety. Im slightly unsure how to incorporate this though.

To achieve a 3x2 design I would have 2 variables self-awareness with 3 levels and anxiety type?? which would be test and non test conditions?

The last part im unsure of and also what the procedure would be to measure this in this way?

Any tips would be gratefully recieved
They probably want a factoral design, say 2x2 where you change self-awareness and confidence. Examiners love that kind of thing...
