The real solution to rape

So strange how some TSR males get into a tizzy about false rape claims, so much so that they disregard the actual crime of rape, despite the rates of prevalence! You would think all of you had been accused of raping someone when more like than not you have just been having perfectly fine sex with girls who have been perfectly nice afterwards.

Do not downplay the crime of rape because you have seen a few, majorly publicized, false cases. (And they tend to be majorly publicized because the victim was vastly wealthy, well known, whatever.)

Also agree that sentencing laws are a joke.

Well said. But men as a breed are incredibly self-absorbed, and are uninterested in societal issues unless it directly affects them.

They're not concerned that 1 in 5 women experience some form of sexual assault in their lifetime, but are instead preoccupied with false rape accusations and the damage it could do to men - regardless of the fact that false reports account for 3%~ of all reported attacks.

Not really a solution is it, their intent was still to rape...
Reminds me of Snow Crash.

Sexist or what.

How many men are victims of assault?

How many places are there for women to go as victims of assault.
How many similar places are there for men?

Both sees can be victims and it is not equal in either side so instead of you blaming one side, just fix both of them.

Wasn't it called Teeth?

Sounds very much like its inspired by vagina dentata myths (which inspired the film as well) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vagina_dentata

lol

and thus my point has been proven.
I would have thought the real long-term solution would be to reduce the number of rapes, which among other crimes is linked to poverty, weak local (and national, although I assume it's the UK we're dealing with here) economies, high unemployment rates and other factors in the bigger picture of social deprivation. I also would have thought that MACE spray/pepper spray, handheld tazers or even a personal firearm would be the easiest way to stop attempted rape- all of which would be much more effective in stopping a would-be attacker than a toothed vaginal cavity. This is, of course, assuming the victim isn't drugged/very drunk. The device in the OP may create a window of opportunity for the victim to flee, but there's no garuntee that the attacker is stopped e.g. a (prevented rape) turns into a (preventable) murder, or beating, or kidnapping.

This made me chortle. You indeed proved his point by sidelining the topic of discussion so that you could turn this into an issue that you can get defensive about. The OP is talking about rape, try to stay on topic.

I'll think you'll find at the end I said both sides are bad not just women. Whereas you just blamed all men.

If all women were like you, with your views, then yes, women would be worse than men.

What and taking about how all men care about is themselves isn't sidelining?

Don't make me laugh.

Do you see how you are going off on some random tangent that has nothing to do with the topic? Do you see how instead of discussing the topic proposed by the OP you are trying to turn this into some sort of 'who has it worse' contest?

Do you understand what sideline means? Do you understand what a topic is, what the point of it is?

Can possess multiple things. Pepper spray for eyes and toothed vaginal cavity for rapist penis shredding. Don't need to stick to one or the other.
I find it strange that this is seen as different to posting a picture of a gun or a knife and calling it a 'solution'.

Must penetrate first to cause pain. Guns and knives don't require penetration.

Genuinely unsure about the seriousness of this post

'It's only for self defence' same argument to be honest that the vast majority of knife holders will have. I mean sure only one or two abuse them but they're the ones that'll hit the papers in the same way the first time this hurts some non rapist guy (probably by accident) that's all anyone will talk about.

The idea of rapists being mutilated does have a certain appeal though. :fangs:

At the end of the day there are so many arguments against it and for it, I just wanted to share my thoughts that it was strange to see such a different reaction to if there had been an anti rape revolver.
