Manchester Uni Requirements

Hi, I'm not applying for Uni this year but i was browsing around and saw that Manchester ask for an A at GCSE English Language to do Law&Politics

I have a B at English Language and an A at English Literature, I always assumed the Literature was harder. Would I still be able to get in with the B considering I got an A in Literature?

Well, initially i wouldve said no as (in general) seeing as it is a requirement, it must be met.
I HAVE seen however a friend of mine who missed his offer by 1 grade last year but still got accepted into the university (of manchester) so it would lead me to believe it may be

if you want a concrete answer though i think it is best you call the admissions department at the uni.

**As a Side note, if possible, i highly recommend to retake you english and try and get an A if manchester university say no and (when you do apply to uni) you intend on applying to russel group universities as many have the english A requirement for a number of courses)
