Can't believe I'm whining about this but let us take a simple question of 4 lonely virgins.

Tell me why the unknown gender one gets 2 initial replies which are frankly brutal, TSR?

edit: I appreciate that as the context develops past 'foreveralone' rant people become more sympathetic and TSR is good at calling out e.g. cheating regardless of gender.

Anyway some of the women on here are virgins as well and they were getting nice thought-out replies, the one guy got 'get a job/life'-how can you not say that is sexism?

The responses to the first thread are exploiting OP's situation to feel better about themselves and big up their own ego. Very crass. But I agree, I think it was because people assumed he was a guy.

It wasn't sexism, I personally didn't see the other threads but I almost certainly would have responded in much the same way. The topic is overdone and damn boring, those people should learn to use the search function, the advice is all pretty much the same. Let's just recycle it.

No, the advice is not the same, in most situations historically a guy makes the (admittedly non-issue but can be emotionally damaging) complaint of being a virgin, and feeling lesser for it, there is implicit in the replies the fact he has failed in some way and needs to change to 'succeed'
