Do I need to reapply after a gap year?

I was thinking of taking a paid internship offer for a year after my second year finishes. I just had a few questions...
1. Will I need to reapply to university in order to do my 3rd year afterwards? And is this via UCAS or my University?
2. Will I still be able to get student finance funding during this year?
