Following the shooting in Copenhagen, what steps should be taken by Europe and all those countries at the most risk to protect themselves from attacks on civilian targets?

Switzerland are saddened by the news of this attack, and support action taken by Denmark in the capture and punishment of the gunmen. Especially following the events in Paris recently, Switzerland will be increasing security and police presence at similar events which happen, and will not relax in any efforts needed to prevent similar things happening in the future.

Switzerland are pleased with the result of the gunman being apprehended, despite the deadly force used, and are pleased that some resolution has come from this.

Luxembourg are sympathetic to the man's family, but can not and do not condone what he has done. This just shows that CCTV can be used, and has been used in beneficial ways - not just as some people like to say, to spy on us.

More measures to make minority communities more inclusive in society, educate citizens to love one another while trying discourage racism and xenophobia. Sustainable economic projects in poor neighborhoods to provide jobs for them as well as uplift the community. The idea is to give them no reason to listen to extremist rhetoric and enjoy their lives, if you just increase policing and isolate minorities, the situation gets worse.
