Veterinary in canada or us

Hi, I wanted to know if physics is required in American or Canadian universities, and especially for veterinary. I really don't want to take it as I find it boring and I'm bad at it, but if it's compulsory then I guess I'll take it... If I don't take physics then I really wanted to take igcse art.. Any help is useful... Thanksx

You are probably best to contact the universities themselves. Or, there is this book, I am not sure if it includes Canadian schools though: http://www.thepress.purdue.edu/titles/format/9781557536457

For the Ontario Vet College, no I do not believe it is a requirement: http://www.ovc.uoguelph.ca/recruitment/en/applyingtodvm/Academicrequirements.asp However, those are the requirements into the vet school. To enter vet school in Canada/the US, you must have min. 2 years, and many students will have a full degree, of university first. At the high school level, when I was at Guelph it was "Chemistry, plus two of the following: biology, physics, calculus..." so at the high school level, recommended but not required. That being said, once IN my undergrad program, "animal biology" it was required for that program. So I basically shot myself in the foot by not taking it in high school and needing to do a remedial course.

Clear as mud? :P Short version is if you are applying/qualified to apply directly to the vet college, no, it isn't, at least at the OVC (I'm Canadian, and a vet).

AVC requirements: http://www.upei.ca/programsandcourses/professional-programs/doctor-veterinary-medicine/dvm-academic-requirements. Looks like they do require physics.

WCVM requirements: http://www.usask.ca/wcvm/admissions/apply/academic.php So yes to physics.

Anyways you can probably google it as well as I can. Sometimes international requirements are different-for example, your "high school" is very different to ours, with A levels and so on. Again, might be best to contact the individual unis.

Best of luck!
