Local colleges don't offer the course I want

I'm 20 years old and I'm interested in doing a course in veterinary nursing.
After I did my GCSEs, I did A-levels for 2 years at my school's sixth form. Admittedly, I did not work as hard as I should have as I just chose my subjects at random (Psychology, Art, Health&Social care). I did not get good results. I've been working full-time in retail for almost 2 years now and during this time I've been thinking about what it is that I'd actually like to do and I would like to be a Veterinary nurse.
Colleges nearby to me don't offer this course and the nearest one is a 2-hour commute, this wouldn't be good for me as I'd like to have a part-time job around my course as I'd need to fund myself, and quite likely pay for the course as I'm over the age of 19.
Does anybody know of any other ways of becoming qualified for this job? Any information/ advice would be appreciated?
