Hello I have been offered a place at Manchester to study Maths and Computer Science, I was wondering if people could tell me their opinions on the subject, university and the city.

Hey sorry for the late reply only just saw this. I am looking for a decent music scene in the city, so I can play, which I heard Manchester has. For the university I want it to have many societies and activities, which most do. And the course, I want to know how the students find the teaching, the facilities, just the whole course in general.

For the course, have a look at the student satisfaction ratings http://www.unistats.ac.uk/subjects/satisfaction/10007798FT-26/ReturnTo/Search However, you should be aware that the stats do have some limitations due to the way they're collected (unless departments make a massive effort to get everyone to participate, only the ones with a bone to pick actually bother, which skews the results).
