A Level History: The Crusades and The English Civil War

Hi.
I am studying AS level History and will be sitting my exams in a couple of months. I am studying The Crusades 1, 2 and 3 and The English Civil War and Interregnum. The Crusades exam is essay based on your own knowledge but the Civil war is analysing sources. I am struggling on how to answer source questions and the best ways to revise Hisory as I find it challenging but really interesting. I got an E on my first ever essay and I am now getting C's but hoping for better. please comment any opinions / techniques / help. Thankyou! :redface:
