I hate being black.

You mean porn lies
Cleaned out the thread, let's have no more racism/downright offensive posts thanks.
I have a few friends like this. We call them bounties as a joke. But it's perfectly fine, you be who you want to be and act how you want. If anybody don't like it then they can **** themselves.

You're only saying that because you're used to White British culture. Please don't hate yourself for that, it's not your fault you were born here. At the end of the day, you identify as yourself, not your skin colour. Don't let it make you think that you have to act a 'certain' way to fit into society's standards.
Lmao, it's actually Naomi Campbell.

I don't know why or when these feelings developed but I've had them for quite a while but only recently have I realised that I despise my race and skin-colour. I don't have anything in common with black/African culture. In fact I get embarrassed when I'm asked about my black heritage.

In truth being black is an inconvenience and something I will never be truly comfortable with.

I have never spoken about this before and I'm not sure why I've even decided to make a thread about it as I can imagine many of you will attack me for being... different.

If a tran-sexual can claim to be trapped in the wrong body and identify as a different gender. Why can't people accept me for identifying as a white person.

Please share your opinions. Dispense with the niceties, words are wind.

OP i know it sounds really cliche but... Black is beautiful:biggrin:
P.S. No one is going to love you if you don't love yourself first, it's that simple.
What do you mean you identify as white ?? You have an inferiority complex obviously, hopefully you can get over it as you have so little time on this planet to start hating yourself for something you didn't choose.

You can be ashamed all your God damn life but you'll always be black. It's time to stop self hating. You are NOT. NOT! NOT. WHITE. If you're white, I'm a ****ing scorpion. You are BLACK. I'm half Eastern European and I AM NOT white. So how in the name of all that is holy are YOU? This goes deeper than a hatred of your skin colour.

You are black, dear. And you always will be. You might as well get used to it. Good day.

What race are you then?

Why pay that much attention to your race? My race means nothing to me

Don't hate. Accept yourself, you can't change who you are.

What do you mean by 'Black/African culture, cause the culture that is depicted in the media of twerking and gangs isn't the true representative of black culture. There is no real way to change your race, like a transexual can with their gender.I mean look at Michael Jackson towards the end of his life he didn't even look human. Being black is what you are and what you will always be. I dont see how it is an inconvenience, its only a inconvenience if you let be one. My advice look into proper black/African culture. Look into influential black people. Study more about your ancestors. Knowing all this will make you proud to be the colour that you are.

Here is where you went wrong. As I'm sure you know, not every member of an ethnicity has the same personality. You can't identify as a white person when you're not, that's just being delusional.

I'm mixed race. Half African, half European.

In my opinion, race/ethnicity is not important and you don't have to 'identify yourself' with anything if you dont want to!! I'm white, however i don't feel either negative or positive about it, i'm totally indifferent. As well as this, i'm ukrainian- again i am totally indifferent to it, and don't really identify myself with anything. it's just me!!:P

So don't hate your race. It literally says nothing about who you are on the inside.

This ^^^^ I feel the same way.

OP, perhaps it's the stereotype that's attached to black race that you hate, not your actual skin colour. You say you don't feel any connection to African culture. That's fine... you can still be black and have those views... actually, you ARE black & have those views, which is fine. But you can't identify yourself as white... because you aren't white, your skin colour is black. The colour is just that, it doesn't come with any perquisites i.e. you must like certain music/fashion/culture.

So try and separate your prejudices towards blacks and your skin colour from each other. You may like different things compared to what Africans like (even I am generalising now ), but that has more to do with you as a human rather than your skin colour.

In my opinion, it's more the insecurity & inferiority you feel as a black person that you have grown to hate. Please see a counsellor, your skin is something you're stuck with and I doubt you want to hate it for the rest of your life.

What is that you despise about your ethnic background? It sounds to me that it's not about your ethnic background but about the colour of your skin. Surely, if you were a white African (they exist) you would not be so hateful of yourself.

And I find funny that you say you have nothing in common with Africa. According to scientific research, every single human being on this planet has something in common with Africa. Hint: I suggest you research where did the first humans come from.

If I was to see an African person move to my school I would instantaneously want to befriend them, I mean youtubers like Ksi and his brother give dark skinned people a good name and to an extent popularity through the jokes they make about their heritage with chicken and stealing bikes which is racial steriotype but gives a laugh when taken light hearted ?
