1.) absolutely.... i know a lot of engineering students who had Abb requirement and just got BBB and BBC's but they still got in.. i think it depends on how many students are interested in the course

Hey, I started FAM this year so I can answer your questions better....unfortunately.

1. This is a very very very competative course so if you arent predicted the grades then Im sorry but your chances are slim unless you have an extremely good Section 10. I knew friends who were predicted ABB or higher but still did not get an offer. You also need a 4th AS (not general studies).
2. Defered entry is no problem
3. There is not much difference in competativeness with management studies. They are both very hard to get in to.
4. There are a lot of halls that are good for different things. No one stands out. If you want catered then choose a hall on Jubilee campus (southwell or newark i think) As for self catered, Broadgate is the best for parties and socialising (its the largest for freshers) but is far from Jubilee campus where the business school is. Raleigh is the closest but is not very big/social. St. Peters court is very social but is in a slightly more dangerous location (although this is not much of a problem, unless you like walking outside by yourself at 1 oclock in the morning). As a business school student i recommend st peters court (its where I am).
5. Nottingham is very well known for its amazing night life

No. Plenty of people don't drink. But plenty do and you shouldn't write them off as potential friends if they do. We're not all complete arses when we drink. xx

Hey im a second yr student on the Industrial Economics course which is the same as FAM during the 3 yrs bar 2 modules per semester. Also when u get here you can switch to management/indus econ/fam so neither are more or less competitive than each other and in first yr are very similar!

If you think its a very very competitive course you are deluding urself, the no. of application per places if high because many lower candidates apply and are obv going to get rejected. Ppl i know doing all 3 havent really got that good grades and still got in and not got best subjects.

Im pretty confident you WILL get an offer, presuming theres more ppl applying than when i did, you will have to have had decent subjects i.e. econ, maths etc and a good ps and u havent said what ur as results were..
