'thread being reviewed'

I tried to put up a thread 4 hours ago but i've just had the same notification saying that the post is being reviewed. What's up with that? Never used to have this stuff before on TSR.

And then another question, why did this post go automatically up while the one i put up 4 hours ago has to go through review? Makes no sense.

Threads go into review for a number of reasons, we aim to review them and get them on the site as soon as possible, however we're a volunteer team so have commitments off the site that take priority. The thread you posted three hours ago has been looked at and should be on the site.
