Practical Reducing sugars-AS Bio-help

Hi all,
We're going to be doing an experiment on reducing sugars however the teacher gave us the method and wants us to make a table for the first simple dilution.
This is what it says:
Part 1: Preparing a Set of Colour Standards
You have been given a 50cm3 of 2g% solution. Use a SIMPLE DILUTION to make up 20 cm3 of 1.5g%, 1g%, 0.5g% and 0% solutions in separate boiling tubes. Show the volumes of each solution you used in a table below to show how you made up the solutions.
What I don't get is how much from the 50cm3 do we need to take, and do we need 20cm3 for each concentration. Really stuck, would be great for some explanation on what's going on!
