I’m sorry to learn that you didn’t secure an offer for the original course you applied for however, congratulations on being offered an alternative course.
Our
Health, Wellbeing and Social Care BSc (Hons) is a broad-based academic health and social care course which enables students to work in a diverse range of health and social care graduate-level positions. Previous graduates have found employment in a wide range of roles and settings such as health promotion, public health and 3
rd sector services.
If you would like any further or more specific information about any aspect of the
Health, Wellbeing and Social Care BSc (Hons) course please do let me know. Alternatively, you’re welcome to contact the Course Leader at
[email protected].
There is an internal application form available for students that are interested in gaining access onto the 1
st year of
Nursing - Children's BSc (Hons). Please note that you would enter onto the 1
st year and not the 2
nd year even if you have already completed one year on the
Health, Wellbeing and Social Care BSc (Hons).
Our internal application form is similar to the current UCAS application form in the sense that applicants will be asked similar questions and have to supply two referees, a personal statement etc. The application needs to be submitted before 15
th January 2016 and it will be considered alongside the applications coming in through the UCAS cycle.
There is no preference given to current University of Bradford students. Every successful applicant, external or internal, will need to attend an interview and alongside a strong personal statement, need to meet our standard entry requirements. (Our current standard entry requirements can be found via the above Nursing link).
If a “Conditional Offer” is made to a current University of Bradford student it will usually be to complete their 1
st year of study with 60% or higher. This may differ depending on the applicant and their situation. If the condition is met the student will start on the 1
st year of
Nursing - Children's BSc (Hons).
I’ve gone over this information in more detail through the University of Bradford's Forum Page. You’re more than welcome to visit this section of The Student Room website to see the information I’ve supplied alongside what other people in similar situations to you have posted.
Finally, I would strongly recommend you weigh up your options before committing and get feedback on why you were unsuccessful in the first place. Feedback can be obtained by emailing
[email protected].
Hope this helps and let me know if you’d like any further information or guidance with anything at all.
