What was your Coursework (History) like?

Mine was incredibly boring, took me over 11 attempts to push it up to an A.


"how far did nazi economic policies improve the lives of german people between 1933 - 1945?"
it was mostly using sources to back up arguments and then evaluating some sources in more detail than others
it was pretty boring cause nazi germany is done to death and i'd prefer something new but oh well
got an a* which surprised me seeing as my target was a b grade
also congrats on the a!
What I hope to achieve:

English Literature: A
English Language: A
Mathematics: A/A*
Triple Science: A - might get a B because of stupid ISAs
Additional Science: A - might get B as i got a C in ISA
Core Science: B - got this last year, stupidly low ISA again
History: A*/A
German: A
Religious Studies (RE): A/B
Drama: B

Worst for last:
OCR CAM NAT L2: D -(not distinction), basically I got BDU somehow on my CA's, so no hope in this subject loool! (really idc what i get, just happy to get it done with)

Mine was probably the hardest piece of work we've done all year in school, the question was something like: " All cosicentious objectors are nothing but cowards in WW1. How far do you agree with this interpretation? "

My first attempt was crap, then on my second attempt I worked my ass of and managed to get an A.

It was mainly getting sources for both interpretations and doing essays on them and how far each interpretation weighs up to the statement.

That sounds like one evil coursework question, well I'm just glad all my coursework is FINALLY done up to scratch, just gotta do the exams now. First one is tomorrow. :s-smilie:

Thanks very much and congrats on your A*!

We had to analyse a number of sources on Dover Castle and then measure how accurate they are to the site itself, it was boring from the start. :frown:
Currently have one GCSE:
Core science - A*

Art - A*
Additional Science - A
English Language - A
English Literature - A
French - B
Further Maths - B
Further Science - A*
Geography - A*
IT - D
Maths - A
Product Design - A
RE - A

I would like more A*s but at this point there's no chance.
Biology - B/A
Chemistry - A (Wouldn't be angry with a B tho)
French - D (If I get a C/pass I will be so happy)
Geography - B
Maths - A/A* (really want an A*, was 2 off an A* in the mocks)
Stats - A*
Physics - A
English Lan - B (But I think I'll get a C if I'm honest)
English Lit - B (already got)
R.E. - B (Only two of an A in the mocks, but I think that was a fluke)

So
2 A*'s
3 A's
4 B's
1 D (French)

As long as I get at least 1 A* overall, and don't fail anything but French, I'll be happy. :biggrin:

What I think I'll get:
Maths- B maybe A but I always panic (school thinks A)
English Language- A* with luck (school thinks A*)
English Literature- Would love an A* but probably an A (school thinks A*)
Physics- probably a D tbh although maybe a C and possibly a B since that's what I got in my mocks (total fluke) (school thinks A (um no))
Chemistry- C (already got it)
Biology- C (school thinks B/A)
Dance- B (school thinks B/A)
History- A but I really want A*, depending on the paper it could fall to a B (school thinks A/A*)
German- B (school thinks B/possibly A)
French- A (school thinks high A)
Drama- Holding out for that A but they're very harsh markers so probably a B (school thinks A)

English: A (wanted an A* but made a balls of the first question)
Maths: I think I'll be B/A borderline which sucks :frown:
Further Additional Science: A
Geography: A but pushing for an A*
German: B but pushing for an A
Computing: B but pushing for an A
ICT Cambridge Nationals: Merit

Already got:

English lit: A*
Core Science: A
Additional Science: A
RE: A
Btec Sport: Distinction*

So worst case = 1A*, 6A, 3B
Best case = 3A*, 7A (would cry with happiness)
