Languages a level vs degree

Hi, I am currently in year 13 and I want to study French and Spanish at university and I am wondering what the step up is like from a level languages up to doing the degree. Is the step up huge or small? Is the degree significantly harder than the a level or about similar easier? What is the work like at degree level? Is the work harder or similar? Do you get a lot more work or a similar amount to a level? Is university more stressful the sixth form?
