Use
p1V=nRT1p_1V = nRT_1

for vessels A and B. (You know the pressure and temperature.)

rearrange for n

after B is heated the pressure is now p2 in both so write down the equations for A and B now. Same volume in both sides. Two different temperatures. Two different values of n. n1 and n2 shall we say.

Get an equation for n1 + n2

You also know that n + n = n1 + n2

(Same amount of gas before and after.)

Does this give you a start?

so due to n + n = n1 + n2, doing all the algebra I come to 3p2/T2= 2P1/T1 which gives me the correct answer, thank you very much
