Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

My dissertation supervisor keeps on ignoring me :(

I am so disgusted by the lack of professionalism. I am keen to proceed without their help but ffs my supervisor will ultimately mark it! Why are they being like this? Ignoring messages for 1-2 weeks?!

Disgusted! I keep on telling myself I'm not their only student and that my supervisor is busy BUT it only takes 5 mins to reply!!!

there are some supervisors who are just crap, yes they have other students but your degree and possibly career will depend on this mark and it is their job to help you so it is up to them to manage their time effectively... perfectly reasonable to wait 24-48 hours for a response to an email but weeks is completely inappropriate...

I was lucky to have a fantastic supervisor, emails were usually answered within a couple of hours, never more than 24 and had weekly meetings without fail... however I knew people in your position, I wouldn't keep quiet, have a conversation with your head of department or ask another lecturer if they would be willing to coach you a bit
