Economics lectures

Hi everyone,

I was wandering if anyone is aware of Economics lectures around London or Oxford.

Also, can anyone suggest me some books that I could read around the topic of Economics and Finance as it is what I would like to study at uni? (I'm in year 12 at the moment.)

Thank you.

I'm not sure on what economic lectures are around in london or oxford, and I'm taking a gap year applying for econ at university this year, so i'm not at university yet, but I can recommend you some books? I've referenced some of these books in my personal statement...

Wealth of nations - Adam smith

Globalization and it's discontents - Joseph E Stiglitz

The Road to serdom - F.A Hayek (this book focuses more on society but it does include some economic aspects and talks about the different types of economies in place, as well as free trade and free markets)

That's all the books I've read so far, hope it helps
You'll probably find more help from a actual uni student LOL
