Why do people go clubbing every week?

Especially more than once a week.

I used to go clubbing quite often last semester but this semester I realised wtf why am I going every week, heck even twice a week, just to dance to the same tunes, get drunk, have drink spilled over me, pay entry fee, hangovers and if I'm lucky, successful lay.

Now I only go once or twice a month and on special occasions eg birthday
I don't feel im missing out, I prefer doing things during the day and evening and having a good sleep.

Going every week takes the fun and spice out of it.

Why do people get SO excited for a night out? That question is more aimed at girls

I can only imagine what st Patrick's day will be like....just an excuse for the Irish, some Americans and any other ppl to get smashed. Stupid day imo

I go for the "pre drinks" mostly, you get to choose your own music and socialise with people. I don't really enjoy the clubbing aspect as the music is usually crap, but by the time I go there I have had a fair amount to drink. I only go to the club because everyone else is and i would feel like i was missing out

I don't really enjoying clubbing any more, prefer the pub.

But I used to like it as it was just nice to get out the house and have a laugh and good time with my friend dancing like imbeciles and getting some drinks down us.

Girls go because they enjoy dancing with their mates. I haven't met many males that say they go for the same reason. Although I enjoy it now and then, I agree you with about the entry fee, drink spilling (you can only see the stain the next day in broad daylight), "moshing" - basically having no room to dance whatsoever...What's even more annoying are the same photos of the people who go out more than once a week. They have about 100 photos of the same poses in the same clubs...don't get it. When I go the last thing I think about is taking a picture. House parties win every time over a club :smile:

I used to go religiously every week at uni. Loved getting hammered, dancing to cheese music and the cheap drinks. It was 40p for vodka + mixer... cant even pre-drink cheaper than that!

People enjoy being drunk and listening to the music, even though it is often the same. Not for everyone but I enjoy it. Also, like you said, some go to try and pull, though this isn't usually the case for girls. Think we just go to be drunk in a fun environment, I assume the same can be said for many boys

The escapism I guess, I spend every day juggling tasks and trying to keep everything running smoothly, it's nice to turn my phone off, go out with mates and just not give a **** about it for a few hours.

Every 1-2 weeks, although I went out a lot more at uni.
