congrats! I have an unconditional for English, though I achieved this with a merit award through the scholarship programme thingy.
I haven't personally seen rosser, only fferm penglais, but I have done extensive research on all of them and can say rosser seems okay, if an ensuite is important to you. It's battling with cwrt mawr for first choice personally! The ensuite seems very basic but hands down beats flip flops and communal showers and loos... I can't imagine what the other non ensuite flats do when they're all hungover with only a couple of loos! rosser is a single bed, has a sink a desk and an average wardrobe. There doesn't seem to be much storage but To be fair I'm a girl and I love clothes! If I go for rosser it'll be purely for the ensuite advantage over cwrt mawr and I'll have to take some extra boxes and stuff. Also, I've heard that rosser flats tend to socialise less with other flats as there's no large communal landing type area for everyone to congregate but that doesn't seem to be a huge issue. There's plenty of space in aber, right? The photos on the website show it has brick walls which I imagine need some homely decor to brighten up a bit! Cwrt mawr rooms seem a bit nicer and they are significantly cheaper. Is rosser your ideal choice?

Well done:smile:! Also good look in your exams , an ensuite was preferable but the other accommodation seems abit pricey in comparison to Rosser.

Where were you thinking of accommodating and is there any reason be hind why?

Congrats on the merit award also
I defo will be taking storage i( I choose Rosser seems small like you said.
Cwrt mawr seems very basic, is there any other accommodation you would suggest? Also have you firmed aber or is it your insurance choice

I absolutely love Trefloyne. Not a lot of people know about it tho so on nights out if people ask where I live, they never actually know where it is. It's very close to the Student Union as well. The flats consist of 7 people, it has a wet room shower, a little toilet room, and a toilet/bath tub room. The kitchens are nice, they have a lot of cupboards and shelving so its easy to fit everyones stuff in. They also come with leather sofas which are nice and have a fairly modern feel to them. I'm on the ground floor so the only issue I have is smokers outside my window being noisy and how cold it is, other than that it's a really nice place to live:smile:

is there a launderette in trefloyne?☺️
i wouldn't do law there as it's one of the worst in the country and not well taught

Do you study it at Aber?
I live just outside of aber and have done since I was 3, so aber is like my second home  it's a great place, it's got that kind of big town vibe but with the country and rural, it's definitely one of the main towns around mid Wales area, nightlife is good and there's loads of hidden gems

Oh im also thinking of Rosser!

I firmed aber and have formally accepted my place so I'm definitely going now
I'm putting cwrt mawr as my top choice, I've chatted to a girl living there now and she really enjoys it! I'm going to take a couple of boxes for under my bed and find some small plastic thing for a "bedside table", and smart packing will do the rest for me! Bit worried about taking too much, especially for the kitchen, though. Trefloyne also looks good but apparently one room per floor is HUGE compared to the rest so luck of the draw really! It worries me that there aren't any bedroom photos of rosser - not rosser g, mind, that's postgrad - and if it was a bigger bed as well as ensuite id consider but an ensuite isn't worth £60 a month to me.. All down to personal choice! But tbh, it's not like 20 people share one loo, it's more like 2 between 8, it seems fine! PJM seems nice but am desperate to be in the middle of everything on campus for first year, easier to socialise, keep motivation levels up with a 2 min walk to lectures and being busy will hopefully keep homesickness at bay! Seafront = too far away for 1st year for me, looks lovely though, and fferm penglais is surreal, but again a bit far from campus
Thanks! what about you? (Firm/insurance, accommodation)?
