Medicine as a mature student

Hi, I'm a mature student whose on the road to studying medicine! I'm starting a foundation year which if I pass I get an interview for medicine and then I'm transferred to year one medicine. Anyone else out there done this successfully?

Similar situation here- I did an Access to HE course 2 years ago (medicine and health professions) which I believe is similar to the uni foundation year... Got an offer to start in September and will be 30 years young when I start :eek:

It's scary to think we'll be surrounded by mainly school/college leavers but it is never too late to do what you're passionate about and at least we'll have some life experience to draw upon!
