A Level exam centres Manchester

Hi Guys

Im wanting to go back to uni and study for a degree in English Lit and/or Creative Writing. I have already completed my first year of Uni studying a different subject but sadly had to drop out due to health issues.

I wish to study and take my A Level English exam prior to applying for Uni. As I have already studied at level 4 standard, I will no longer be eligeble for free level 3 education. As a result I have decided to study the material offmy own back and simply pay for the sitting of the required exams.

I am struggling to find information on where offers outside self taught students oppotunity to sit the exams as well as which exam board is the best to go with. I am based in the Manchester area. Any advice, links or thoughts?
