French (260) word essay

Hi everyone!

Just wondering if you can have a look at my French essay because I am not very good at French. I could not do the accents because my laptop will not let me, so I will have to use the uni computers. Some of the translation does not match, but don't worry about that as I needed to cut it down from the english version.

Any help will be very much apprecaited!!

I'll be brutally honest. Your French vocab seems fine, your French seems understandable, but your grammar is awful. You translated "the" as "une", then subsequently forgot your adjective ending three words later... you wrote "la intention", you wrote "dans" for "at (promoting awareness)", you wrote "en 1992" then followed it with the present tense, you wrote "une garçon"... and these are just the worst. Sorry, but if I corrected this essay for you I would essentially be redoing it. :confused:

Have another look through it. If you still can't see why you've made all the mistakes I think it's more of a job for your tutors at uni than for us. I don't mean to be nasty, but there's far too much for me to go over briefly in that essay.

The problem here is that you are thinking in English, and have translated the English word for word into French. Try and think in French and don't put so much value on using big words. You need to look at your conjugaison
