Is 4 a* 3a 3b good GCSE results when considering Oxbridge and other top unis?

Just need some reassurance to see where I'm at

(This is the best advice you'll get off TSR)

No amount of A*s at GCSE will guarantee you a place nor an interview dependent on the course you're applying for with the exception of competitive courses such as Medicine etc.

- Definitely apply as long as you get okay AS results if that's what you want
- if you have decent AS Levels apply to Cambridge who on the whole do not seem to care as much as Oxford for GCSEs.
they are fine.
Check the admissions requirements for your preferred subject at a number of different Unis (you have 5 choices .... and you need spread your choices to make sure you have a lower offer to make your Insurance). The requirements will specify both expected A levels subjects/grades and GCSE requirements. Remember, you can always retake vital GCSEs alongside A levels if necessary.

Universities only look at GCSEs if they can't decide from your A levels. I think those results will be alright.
no not really oxbridge but it depends on your course really and if there's admission tests
you can certainly get into a RG uni

This isnt true. All Unis and RG Unis in particular will have minimum GCSE requirements for each course - if you don't match them, your application will get an immediate No.
