UCL, York or Bristol for Biology

I would greatly appreciate if you could help me with my firm and insurance choice. I got an offer for biology at UCL and Bristol, and for genetics at York.

I am interested in non-human centered biology, specifically in genetics and evolution, also animal diversity.

Qs and national rankings are quite different (York is top nationally and 100+ in qs, whereas UCL is 10-15 nationally, and top 20 worldwide; Bristol is average in both rankings), and the course structure is very interesting at each of those unis (well Mby not that interesting at Bristol, cause you cannot specialise).

I don't worry much about the nightlife, but all other factors are worth considering.

Please help me make my decision))))

We're in the same situation pretty much
I got offers from Bristol, York and St Andrews for Biology. I just made my mind a couple days ago by placing York as my firm choice and Bristol as the insurance.
I love city of York more than Bristol. I love old architectures and York seems the perfect place for me
Honestly, thats the only thing I considered.
I mean everyone has their own 'thing' on how they compare it, so whats yours? Is it the rank of the uni? the nightlife?

As a first year studying biology at York I couldn't recommend it enough  I am really enjoying the course, there is loads of support should you need it and everyone is very friendly. Night life is surprisingly good and the City is so beautiful to wonder round in the day. As I say I am really enjoying my first year and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Hello! I was just wondering what field you were planning on specialising in, and if you had any idea upon the standard of the neuroscience facilities? Also how do you feel about the teaching style and lecturers? I'm just doing some university research at the moment so I have an idea of where to apply. I'm looking at studying biology and possible specialising in neurology. I'd be grateful for any information you could give.
Thanks a ton,
KT
