UCL changed my course

I've just received my final uni offer, which was from UCL. I had applied to do French and English, but they have sent an email stating that due to the popularity of this course they can only offer me French BA, or French with another language. Although I'm still pleased to receive an offer from them, this is not quite the course I had applied for. My question is whether it is worth still going to UCL as it is good academically? Is it really as good as the league tables show? For any students that are currently at UCL, I would love to know how you are finding your course, student life etc.
