Why is oxygen the final electron acceptor in aerobic respiration?

Because it accepts an electron and joins with the H+ to produce water ( by product) i.e it uses everything that has been 'made' and puts them all together to form a final product.

Because everything else is used up..Oxygen is the only thing from the products that hasn't been used up
