books for a physics foundation degree

hello everyone, iam going to be taking a foundation degree in physics this year, just wanted to ask if anyone can recommend me any books, something that has the terms and maths fully explained and questions to test my knowledge without having to have previous knowledge in physics

have you checked the recommended reading lists for your modules yet?
I recommend Engineering Mathematics by K.A. Stroud, as it straddles A Level and first year university level maths. It's very readable and has worked examples all the way through. To prepare for physics in advance, you could do worse than to pick up some A level text books (any exam board will do).
The book suggested by the above poster seems to be generally considered excellent. In my experience, any lecturer you ask for a maths textbook will suggest it.
