Wessex halls / St Georges

Hi,

I'm going to apply for Wessex halls but haven't been able to see the halls (only the premium ensuite rooms showed on the open day) and was wondering what it is like there?

I was also wondering what the difference was between the upgraded washbasin room and the standard room. There's £10 a week difference but that's all I know.

Alternatively I could also go to St Georges washbasin room and was wondering what that was like.

Thanks!
Hello!

The difference between the upgraded washbasin room and the standard room is that the upgraded room has simply been refurbished recently. The room will have newer carpet and newer wardrobes/shelving units. You can see an example on the webpage: http://www.reading.ac.uk/life/accommodation/acc-Wessex-Hall.aspx. It is a small difference however, and all the rooms are maintained well. Also Wessex Hall has recently added a new bar and a small cinema which is pretty cool. You can see some pictures of Ice House here: http://www.reading.ac.uk/catering/BarsandLateNight/Cater_Ice_House.aspx

Hope that helps! Feel free to ask any more questions.
