I find it hard to believe that a teacher delivered a consistently poor standard of tuition and the school did not take action to protect the pupils.

Did none of the pupils in your class and/or their parents complain?

Well, assuming your story is true...

On a CV, you do not have to mention all of your GCSEs.

On an application form, there is normally a mitigating circumstances section. Tell your story there, but be careful how you word things, as you don't want to come across as someone who is shifting the blame onto another person without justification. There's a fine line in these matters.

As long as your subsequent qualifications (AS level, A-levels etc) are good, the E grade at GSCE really has no relevance. It's not as big a deal as you think it is.

Employers will often check that your grades are what you make them out to be, e.g. if you say you got an A in Drama at A-level, they're going to want to see a copy of the certificate. However, if they don't know you have an E in GSCE Drama, they're not going to check for it. If you only did one exam with one particular exam board, then it's not going to show up on your certificate with your other results, is it?

You can't annul grades, but you definitely don't have to put every GCSE result on a CV, why not just put e.g. "10 GCSEs including 3 at Grade A (English, French, History)". If you did GCSEs 3yrs ago they're not that relevant.

Parfait advice.

Don't be ridiculous. Unless you're not applying to join MI6 you have nothing to worry about.

Surely you mean:
"Don't be ridiculous. Unless you're applying to join MI6 you have nothing to worry about."
