Europeans did not bring "infrastructre, basic industry, advanced legislation etc" to Africa. They travelled to Africa to manipulate and utilize Africans as slaves. They had no good intentions for the African population. Imperialism and greed is what brought them there. Of course seeing as the Africans now had to adapt to the way the world was developing, the various countries were pretty much "forced" to industrialize their countries. And crop techniques were first used in the ancient civilizations Mesopotamia (Iraq) and in the Maya/Inca/Aztec regions (Mexico). These techniques were not developed by Europeans.

You do realize Arabs used Africans as slaves for far longer time , but at least Europeans also gave benefits ..

What infrastructure? What legislation? The Europeans did nothing that couldn't have happened through economic cooperation and self-determination. Look at Japan, China, Korea, Dubai. Never properly colonised, they became developed economies with a strong rule of law and solid infrastructure without any European imposition.
Listen to a few songs by Fela Kuti and maybe you'll understand

Africans generally feel inferior to so called white people. Europeans brought nothing to Africa if that was the case Africans would actually be developing things for themselves instead of relying on others to buy their products.

On top of the million other problems with what you've said, Africans knew how to build boats millennia before Europeans. Boats have been found from 6000 BC in Nigeria. I'm surprised you didn't study the Ancient Egyptians in school, they had very sophisticated boating technology.

Lmao.

Thats like saying Egyptians had advanced medicine because they were one of the earliest societies to use it well. The later European ships were far superior to anything Egypt built.

OP said they "didn't have the technical capacity to build boats" which is just wrong. No, the Ancient Egyptians did not build massive European vessels but that's probably because they lived thousands of years before them... That's like saying Medieval peasants were idiots for not inventing the computer.

Go to your nearest Atlas. Open up a map of Africa. You will find that Egypt is in it.

Oy right sorry then
lol, as westerners, there is a tendency to look at things in other places as so uncivilized. If a mudhut is their way of life, why are we better than them? Colonialism and Slavery done nothing for Africa, it destroyed families, it destroyed their traditional ways of life and so on. Colonialism however did benefit Europe and America (Slavery) massively, I mean slaves practically built their whole damn country but never would we accept that.
Also, Christianity is not a good thing. The Europeans FORCED religion onto the African's because they felt that we were so inferior that they needed to save us. I mean, they clearly done it out of the kindness of their own hearts.
And build boats? There's evidence that shows Africa had been trading with Europe from a while back. All because history in British schools is so whitewashed, don't mean it didn't happen. People love bringing it back to that "oh but Arab's own slaves too". Okay, everyone owned damn slaves. But just admit it, accept your privilege and try to work with it.

Rant over, I guess you can see my views on colonialism and the negative influences upon the motherland.

Your post is worded in a way which suggests that Africans had huge vessels, a small boat is not really a huge technological achievement, as you said yourself they have been documented a lot already.

Your also missing the point with your own argument, the Ancient Egyptians are not the Prewar Africans. They are different people, different trading routes and city states and so forth. Egypt got a lot of its power from its strategic location which was lost at some point, much like Greece and Italy.

What utter BS you have just spouted. If anything, the Arabs are the ones who gave them the benefits.

Yeah averaging a life of 30 years old and dying of horrible diseases and tribal warfare is so subjective. Why couldn't we leave them to die horribly in peace?

I can't? Here's just one for you:

"Being a concubine did have some benefits: if a slave woman gave birth to her owner's child, her status improved dramatically - she could not be sold or given away, and when her owner died she became free. The child was also free and would inherit from their father as any other children."

Nice one...
