don't like new job
So I started this job in care about a month ago, I love the staff but I'm not sure about the job. I have started working with autistic children who are very challenging, they are extremely short staffed so I have been thrown in the deep end getting them up and doing their personal care without any shadowing etc. I know I need to give it more time but i'm just looking for some advice?
if you're not confident speak to your line manager and ask for some shadowing
unfortunately in these jobs eventually you get thrown in at the deep end either way and it's always intimidating, you do get used to it and fall into a routine pretty quickly but in the meantime it might help to get a little extra support - do you have someone to go to for help if you need it?
