SOAS vs Edinburgh for Chinese PhD studies

I have PhD in Chinese admissions to SOAS and Edinburgh.

I plan to stay in academia so I want to study in a programme which offers me the best training and reputation.

I would also like to ask which city would be easier to get part-time jobs. I am an international student and waiting on funding news from my home country and from SOAS. If funding plans fall through I will self-fund.
