www.direct.gov.uk is better for working things out. Its fairly simple but I cant remember the exact figures.

[rough figures dragged up from memory :rolleyes: ]

First 5035 tax free (personal annual allowance)

Next 2150 taxed at 10%

Rest of income up to 33,300 taxed at 22%

33,300+ taxed at 40%

You have to include things like dividends awarded, interest, any other income earned eg from investments. You add this on top of your salary, so your salary takes up the lower brackets first.
