I was 21 when I first got in an aircraft. The RAF trains you to be a military pilot and you serve a minimum number of years to "pay back" the training. I don't understand why people would think you need to pay for the training yourself! Nobody apart from the richest of the rich could ever afford it!
Its only a few thousand.
