Clare and Trinity Hall both have accommodation that's spread across the town, so you won't be on the main site all the time - if you like it all (likely with Clare's, famously pretty - Trinity Hall's is long way away from the centre I think) that's great but you might wanna check. Don't know about John's/Magdalene.

Jesus pros/cons I considered:

PROS
1. 5 min walk from the centre but tourists don't know it exists.
2. Huge grounds w/grass and pitches and ORCHARD
3. All accommodation within 2 min walk, for all years (2nd 3rd yrs can live in College houses in the surrounding street)
4. Food is supposed to be great
5. Bar is supposed to be pretty good
6. Accommodation is very good from what I've seen
7. Really good sports if that's your thing
8. 2 min from the ADC if Drama's your thing
9. Not stupidly big but not teeny either.
10. Really, REALLY pretty library.

CONS
1. From what I've seen so far they allocate freshers' rooms randomly (- but P6?)
2. Across town from the Sidgwick site - not sure where the Geography faculty is but that's my site xD Still only a 15 min walk though.
3. ???

I ended up applying to J which is why I know more about it than other colleges xD the other two I mentioned I just looked around before I got to the Open Day stage, but it was the accommodation thing that ended up drawing me away from them and towards Jesus.

Hope this was vaguely helpful, sorry for the length!

Hey, a quick question: I've heard that the cafeteria don't serve breakfasts - so do you have to make them? Thanks!

I want to apply for Chemical Engineering via NatSci for 2016 entry. I got AAAB in Biology, Maths, Spanish and Chemistry respectively.... Which is the issue. My UMS for the subjects I'm taking for A2 are as follows:
bio - 276/300
Maths - 265/300
Chem - 214/300 (resitting at least 2 of the 3 modules)
Making my average 83.8. Is this too low for me to be considered. Would appreciate any reply

New postgrad entry, here. Anyone living on Jesus Lane?
hi
my AS levels weren't as high as i hoped for:
Geog: 97% ums
Maths: 82%
Psychology: 84%
English lang: 86%
my top 3 ums avg is 88.9% and im really scared that i'm not good enough to get into jesus no matter how good i am at interview. i want to do geography so im hoping that 97% will make up for relatively low ums avg and my gcse's were 10a* 1a.
i really really really have my heart set on cambridge and desperately want to go but i dont know if i have a cahnce with jesus since it's a more competitative college than some others - would i be better applying to somewhere a bit lower to increase my chances of getting in at all or do you think i'd be ok for jesus?
Thanks so much im really stressed about this

Hello. I'm applying for Bio Natsci 2017 entry in Jesus college, after visiting it early this year and was attracted by its peaceful greens and nice library. According to Jesus website, bio natsci applicants may be asked to present their favorite piece of work at interview. Can anybody give me some advice on this and how to prepare for the new admission assessment and interview?

Thanks!
