Would one of you folks tell me what I need to do about applying for accommodation for my first year starting it october.

I know in some colleges like trinity who have a decent website you get to choose between several rent bands, and I'd like to know if this is the case for my college because the website doesn't seem to inform me.

I'd also like to know how I would go about applying for certain accommodation.

However becuase I am a placement student currently on a gap year who already has his a level results and secured his place does that mean I should already have recieved the application forms, or recieve them in August this year regardless?

I think it will be all done in August as part of your Fresher's pack. You may want to email Wendy Andrews, the accommodation officer just to check though: accommodation-office@jesus.cam.ac.uk

accommodation is not allocated on a first come first derved basis... so as long as you submit a form you'll have just as much chance of getting your room allocation as everyone else... plus its half the fun not knowing surely?

Hey, I sent an email to the accommodation office at Jesus College, but they don't seem too keen on replying, so I'm directing my enquiry to you guys=)
When does the term start and when will I be able to move into my room? I'm asking this presumably a little in advance because I'm an international student, and so I'll need to know the relevant dates before booking my flight to the UK. (Medic 1st year)

Also, are there many copies of textbooks available for loan for extended periods at the college library?
