How 'Sciencey' is Biological/Anthropology?

I possibly have the option to change course from a course I don't like- to a course I don't know anything about-Anthropology at Durham University. Their department has several different degrees- some focused more on social anthropology and some more focused on Biological and Medical Anthropology.

My biggest question is what exactly is the difference? My second question is what level of science aptitude would one require to do well in Biological and Medical Anthropology? I don't have a science A Level but I was awarded an A grade in GCSE Biology and Chemistry. I've been assured that it's adequate for entry, but do you think I would struggle with just this level of biological knowledge?

Also does it have ANY degree of Mathematics or formulaic-based Chemistry that exceeds GCSE standard?

Thanks.

the word after the forward slash in the title should be "medical".
